FSC® products at Artoz
Artoz has included certified products with the FSC® trademark in its range. Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is actively committed to exemplary forestry around the world. Products with the FSC® trademark do not exploit resources but promote socially and environmentally sustainable forestry. FSC® Mix (paper) designates products 70% of whose fibres are sourced from exemplary forestry. In order for a product to carry the FSC® logo, all the processing plants involved must meet the requirements of the FSC® for the production chain. This ensures that the origins of the designated product can be traced.
Water marks
Real water marks are created on the screen part of the paper machine. The marks are soldered onto the dandy roll (light roller covered with screen fabric) in the form of wires. The raised areas displace the fibres on the fabric, which is strongly diluted with water, thus creating the light water mark. Artificial or fake water marks are created by subsequent embossing. The embossing process can be carried out blind or using so-called water mark dye. Fake water marks are more clearcut and contain more details than real water marks.
